Terms of service

Last updated July 12, 2026

These terms cover this website and sponsorships. The Podcli software is a separate thing: it’s open source under the AGPL-3.0 license, and your use of the code is governed by that license, not by this page. By using the site or sponsoring the project, you agree to what follows.

The short version

  • The software is free and open source under AGPL-3.0.
  • The website is provided as-is. Please don’t abuse it.
  • A sponsorship gets you a logo or name on the sponsors page for as long as it’s active.
  • I can decline or remove a sponsor logo that doesn’t fit the project.

The software license

Podcli is released under the GNU AGPL-3.0. You’re free to use, study, change, and share it under that license. The full text lives in the repository. Where the license and these terms overlap, the license wins for anything to do with the code.

Using the website

You’re welcome to browse, read the docs, and download the app. Please don’t try to break the site, scrape it in a way that disrupts it, or use it to do anything unlawful. I may change or take down pages at any time.

Sponsorships

What you get. Each tier is described on the sponsors page: a logo or name on that page, linked to your site, and depending on the tier, a mention in release notes and the project README. Your placement stays up for as long as your sponsorship is active.

What I ask. Send me a logo and link I can actually use. I reserve the right to decline or remove any sponsor content that is unlawful, misleading, adult, hateful, or clearly at odds with the project, and to resize or reposition logos so the page stays readable.

No guarantees.A sponsorship supports the project and gives you visibility. It isn’t an ad buy with promised traffic, clicks, or results, and it isn’t an endorsement of your product by me unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Payments and cancellation. Sponsorships are sold and processed by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record and handles billing, tax, and refunds under its own terms. Each tier is a monthly recurring subscription. You can cancel at any time and it stops at the end of the current period. Already-paid periods aren’t refundable except where the law or Creem’s policy requires it. I may adjust tiers, pricing, or the number of slots for future sponsorships; changes won’t affect a sponsorship you’re already paying for during its current period.

Name and logo

The Podcli name, logo, and branding are mine. Sponsoring the project doesn’t give you any right to use them, and displaying a sponsor logo here doesn’t give me any right to yours beyond showing it on the sponsors page.

No warranty

The website and the software are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. I do my best to keep everything working and accurate, but I can’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. This is on top of the warranty disclaimer in the AGPL-3.0 license.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, I’m not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website, the software, or a sponsorship. Where liability can’t be excluded, it’s limited to the amount paid for your sponsorship in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, and any dispute will be handled by the courts there.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms as the project changes. When I do, I’ll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the site or keeping a sponsorship active means you accept the current version.
